ABOUT
Meeting each client exactly where they are.
Caroline Kawashima is an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT #164401, APCC #23317) who works with children, adolescents, couples, and families navigating life’s transitions and challenges. Her approach is person-centered and culturally congruent, meeting each client exactly where they are with warmth, empathy, and non-judgment.
Drawing from Attachment-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (AB CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused CBT (EF CBT), Play Therapy, Systemic, and Solutions-Focused Family Systems work, Caroline builds individualized treatment plans rather than one-size-fits-all approaches. She supports clients through school, career, and life transitions; grief and loss; multicultural family dynamics; and neurodiversity by helping them uncover their sense of self-worth, purpose, and meaning so they can move towards empowerment and their fullest potential.
Before entering the field of mental health, Caroline spent more than 30 years as a technology marketing and communications executive, giving her a grounded, real-world understanding of the pressures around career, identity, and change that many of her clients face. She is also a certified Martha Beck Wayfinder coach, and an active member of the local school, business, and nonprofit community.
